Police made many revelations in the case of rape of a 15 year old girl in Ujjain. Police said that accused Bharat Soni had made the girl sit in the auto in front of the railway station. After scanning the footage of more than 700 CCTV cameras, they finally reached the accused.

When the police reached the spot, the accused tried to run away. During this he fell and got injured. SP Sachin Sharma said that the girl had left Satna on 24th September and reached Ujjain on the night of 25th September. It was from here that accused Bharat Soni had taken him. The police have also arrested an auto driver named Rakesh Malviya on charges of hiding evidence.

SP Sachin Sharma said that the police interrogated more than a hundred monitored criminals. Rickshaw pullers, bus operators as well as many people at the railway station and bus stand were interrogated. After the girl reached Ujjain, she came in contact with about 6 people. In which there were four auto drivers and two other people. Which were captured in CCTV cameras.

Police examined footage from more than 700 cameras. In which the victim girl was seen at many places. During interrogation outside the railway station, it was revealed that Bharat Soni had taken the girl, but he refused to confess to the crime. After which the police traced the location of accused Bharat Soni and between 5 am to 5.15 am, his location was found around Jeevan Khedi.

On September 28, on the information of the informer that the accused Bharat had taken the girl with him in an auto written by Soni Arjun, the SIT members took the accused into custody and interrogated him strictly and he confessed to his crime.

After this he took her to Jeevan Khedi. Here in a deserted area, he brutalized the girl. Then he ran away leaving the girl there. During this time a person named Rakesh reached with his auto. When the girl asked for a lift, he made her sit in the auto. Meanwhile, the girl’s blood stains got on Rakesh’s auto.

Rakesh took the girl some distance and left her outside Hatkeshwar Colony. From here the girl reached Dandi Ashram via Tirupati Dreams and only after this the police got information about this incident.

Arms and legs fractured while trying to escape

On Thursday, the police took the main accused Bharat Soni to Jeevan Khedi for spot inspection. Here the police found the girl’s clothes and her slippers. The police was engaged in its work, during which the accused Bharat Soni tried to escape. During this time he got injured on his leg and hand. He has suffered fractures in one leg and one arm, he will be operated on on Friday.

Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under Section 376, POCSO. Now a case will also be registered under section 224 on charges of escaping from custody. Accused Bharat’s father Raju Soni, aged 24 years, also had a previous criminal record. A case is registered against him under various sections in Madhav Nagar police station and Nanakheda police station.

The victim girl is a resident of Satna district. Initially, when the police and experts talked to the girl, it was estimated that she could be a resident of Prayagraj (UP).

On September 25, the girl was found in an inebriated condition near Dandi Ashram in Mahakal police station area. His clothes were stained with blood. The girl kept wandering in the colonies of Sanvarakhedi Simhastha bypass for two and a half hours in half-dressed clothes. Its CCTV footage has been discovered by the police. She walked the full eight kilometres. In the footage itself, the girl is seen with 5 auto drivers.

The police had earlier stated the age of the girl to be 12 years. Although the age recorded in the FIR copy is 15 years. SP Sachin Sharma said that the victim is a resident of a village in Satna district. She went missing from home on 24 September. His missing report has been registered in Jaitwara police station of Satna district.

The girl had left her home and reached Ujjain by train. She landed at Ujjain railway station at 3 am on Monday. Here he talked to an auto driver. Till 5 am in the morning, the girl was seen in CCTV footage with different auto drivers.
