Non-BPL SC, ST beneficiaries also in priority family category

Bhopal: State government has include all non-BPL SC, ST registered beneficiaries residing in Madhya Madhya also in priority family category. So far, 19 additional categoies and people of non-BPL of other categories were included in targeted public distribution system under National Food Security Act-2013. This number will increase to 21 categories after addition of these 2 categories.

Under it, SC, ST beneficiaries will be eligible who are not income tax payers. If head or any member of family is class I, II and III employee in Union or State Government office, government-semi-government, public or autonomous undertaking (nationalised bank and cooperative institution), he will not be eligible under the scheme.
According to directives of Commissioner Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, all families and individuals not having prescribed caste certificate and SC, ST eligibility will be automatically registered beneficiary in concerning category as soon as they file a self-attested affidavit to this effect.
