16 backward class social workers to get Ramji Mahajan awards

Bhopal: As many as 16 social workers belonging to backward classes will be honoured with Ramji Mahajan Puraskar here on September 17. The awardees selected by a jury constituted by State Government include 8 males and 8 females.

The female awardees include Smt. Seema Bharti, Chhindwara, Smt. Jyoti Verma, Bhopal, Smt. Kamla Yadav, Sagar, Smt. Kalpana Sarkar, Hoshangabad, Smt. Shobha Rajput Lodhi, Chhatarpur, Smt. Rekharani Soni, Datia, Smt. Neelima Ghorse, Chhindwara and Smt. Manisha Gaur Indore.
Similarly, the male awardees are Shri Ajmer Singh Yadav, Bhind, Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Bhopal, Shri Yadavlal Chauhan, Indore, Shri Vishnu Kumar Arya, Sagar, Shri Rajram Gujrati Patidar, Bhopal, Shri Subhash Chaurasia, Jabalpur, Shri Shambhudayal Baghel, Gwalior and Shri Salakram Kurmi, Sagar.
Ramji Mahajan Awards will be conferred at Samanvay Bhavan on September 17 at 4 pm. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest. MP Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Backward Classes Welfare Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, Water Resources Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya, Legislative Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Farmers Welfare Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Minister of State for Home Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha and Minister of State for Medical Education Shri Mahendra Hardia will also be present. Each awardee will be given Rs. one lakh cash and citation as part of the award.
