MP is the capital of Art and culture of Madhya Pradesh : Vijaywargiya

Bhopal: Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya has said that Madhya Pradesh is the capital of art and culture of India. Shri Vijaywargiya was speaking at Madhya Pradesh Day programmes at India Trade Fair 2012 today.
At the programme, Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya threw light on Madhya Pradesh’s all-round development under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He said that despite global recession, MoUs worth over 4 lakh crore have been signed at recent Global Investors Summit in the state, which is a major achievement. As result, jobs will be made available to about 20 thousand persons.
Shri Vijaywargiya also discussed unprecedented agricultural development in Madhya Pradesh. He informed that 18 percent growth in Madhya Pradesh’s agriculture sector was registered last year. He informed that efforts are being made to bring Madhya Pradesh’s traditional products like tusser, Bagh Print, Chanderi etc. to the global level.
Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Chairman Shri Akhand Pratap Singh informed about products manufactured by the corporation. He lauded design of Madhya Pradesh Stall.
On the occasion, traditional tribal dance Bhagoria of Malwa region was colourfully performed at Lal Chowk Theatre. Bhagoria dance of Bhil tribe living in Jhabua and Alirajpur districts of the state, are performed at Bhagoria Haats, Holi and other occasions by young Bhil boys and girls. Besides, a memorable presentation of Gudum dance was also made.
Earlier, Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya and Shri Akhand Pratap Singh inspected Madhya Pradesh Stall. Theme of this year’s event is “Skilling India”.
At the stall, women’ empowerment works resolve to develop a gold Madhya Pradesh have been vividly displayed.
In the tableau of Madhya Pradesh’s industrial progress, glimpses of Bina-Oman Oil Refinery, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Indore’s Pithampur Auto Cluster and Crystal Park as well as units of major industrial houses have also been displayed.
At the fair, en effort has been made by Madhya Pradesh to tap unique creativity and skills of its artistes for making Madhya Pradesh a golden state. In the front portion of Madhya Pradesh Stall, specimens of these talents have been displayed. Stall’s entry gate has been erected on the lines of Sanchi Stoopa’s archway. On the left side of the stall, photographs of over one thousand years old Bhojpur temple near Bhopal have been displayed highlighting its unparalleled architectural splendour. One gets introduced to Madhya Pradesh’s traditional skills and talents right from the front portion of the stall.
On the upper storey of the stall, craftspersons of Madhya Pradesh whose skills have been upgraded through skill development have been displayed. Appliances and products of those private commercial establishments of Madhya Pradesh have also been shown at Madhya Pradesh Stall, with the help of which Madhya Pradesh has achieved commercial prosperity. With all these, pieces of art, craft and clothes manufactured by state’s deft craftspersons are also being displayed and sold.
