Now, Mahua flower to be procured on support price

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that now Mahua flowers will also be procured on support price. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan made this announcement while distributing bonus to tendupatta collectors at Bhua Bichhiya in Mandla district today. At the programme, bonus worth Rs. 10 crore 58 lakh for year 2011was distributed to tendupatta collectors. He also distributed smokeless chulhas, forest rights documents, sewing machines and benefits under other schemes to beneficiaries. The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of and inaugurated works costing Rs. 23 crore 70 lakh.
The Chief Minister said that birth anniversaries of Rani Durgawati, Raghunath Shah and Shankar Shah will be celebrated officially. Optimum efforts will be made to increase tribals’ income to ensure their economic empowerment. Industries and trades will be established in Mandla district, which will provide jobs to local people. Shri Chouhan said that special attention is being paid to children’s education and no child will be allowed to remain illiterate due to paucity of funds. Recruitment of teaches and contract teachers will be made on a large scale soon. The Chief Minister congratulated residents of the district for Mandla district standing first in distribution of forest land rights pattas and said that process to provide pattas to remaining people will be started soon.
The Chief Minister said that irrigation facility in the area will be increased after construction of Rs. 414 crore Halon Irrigation Project and farmers will become prosperous. Feeder separation work in Mandla district will be completed within 2-3 months and 24-hour power supply will be made in the district from February 14, 2013. He assured to make available adequate funds for repair of roads. Urging people to connect with Maryada Abhiyan, he exhorted them to construct pucca toilets in their houses.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs. 2 crore sanction for development works in Bhua Bichhiya area. He said that efforts will be made to get Ram Nagar fort declared a tourism centre by the Union Government. Shri Chouhan said that funds will be made available for establishment of a medicinal plant processing units in the district.
Rajya Sabha member Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste and Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Dev Singh Sayyam also expressed their views on the occasion.
