RSS Denies to Interfere; Says Let BJP Analyse

Amid impasse over leadership, rebellion, dissension, pessimism, or whatever it is that has been troubling the BJP for quite some time now, the RSS, its parent non-political parent body, has said recently that it is not going to arbitrate in party’s affairs and that the saffron party has to “analyse” the development and take the right decision.

“I want to say this clearly that it is not the job of the RSS,” its spokesman Ram Madhav told reporters here a day after senior BJP leader Arun Shourie demanded that the Sangh should take over the reins of BJP.

Expressing readiness to provide “help and advise” to the BJP, Madhav said that “but the political work has to be managed by them.”

In response to Shouries’s allegation that the leadership of the saffron party is not able to tackle the situation, the RSS spokesman said, “Whatever is there, it is their work to think about it.”

“The job of analysing and taking the right decision is party’s discretion, not ours,” he said.

Asked if the RSS was worried over the recent developments in the BJP, he said, “the view of the RSS has already been voiced by our chief (Mohan Bhagwat). He also said what the organisation expects from its swayamsevaks. We don’t need to make special comments.”
