Gunfight On in Kashmir; Army Captain, Militant Killed

An army captain has been reportedly killed as an encounter with militants in Dadsar village in Tral area of South Kashmir goes on since yesterday morning, reported NDTV.

In the encounter, one militant died but two are yet putting up fight, said report, adding that three soldiers were also injured.

The gunfight began yesterday morning when police received a tip-off regarding the presence of two Hizbul Mujahideen militants in the village, said report.

As soon as the security forces zeroed in the cordon around house, militants lobbed a grenade and injured one policeman intermittent firing has been on since then.
