District blood bank to be named after former PM Shri AB Vajpayee
Bhopal: Burhanpur district blood bank will be named after former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Inaugurating the blood bank, School Education Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis enumerated benefits of blood donation and said that every person should donate blood from time to time. She informed that a blood donation camp will also be held from December 26 to January 1.
Smt. Chitnis informed that now funds which used to be spent on purchasing blood from outside will be saved. These funds will be used for other important activities. She said that construction works costing Rs. 25 crore will be started soon in the district hospital. Zila Panchayat Chairperson, Janpad Chairperson, collector, SP and in-charge civil surgeon of district hospital, public representatives and officers were present on the occasion.
