Over 6 Lakh 33 Thousand Additional Houses will be Built in State under PM Awas (Rural) Scheme

Bhopal. Under the additional target, 6 lakh 33 thousand 351 houses will be constructed in the state in the Prime Minister Rural Housing scheme. This is the maximum construction of houses under any housing scheme in the state. These houses will be constructed in addition to village wise target set earlier.

Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Gopal Bhargava has termed it as the achievement for the state. He said that action will be initiated within time limit to select beneficiaries for these additional houses. Shri Bhargava said that a 5 points action plan has been released in this regard.

Shri Bhargava informed that as per the action plan the physical verification of beneficiaries will be conducted after site survey before February 17. Moreover activities regarding calling the name of beneficiaries holding gram sabhas, inviting no objection and re-survey of site in case of objection on the same day of gram sabha and its redressal will be carried out between February 18 to 20. After the redressal of objections, the list of eligible beneficiaries will be displayed on the notice board of gram panchayats on February 21. Shri Bhargava further informed that physical verification of beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out again through random checking by Chief Executive Officer of the Jila Panchayat on February 25. After this activity to write names (Released earlier/including approval) of selected eligible beneficiaries with oil paint on front wall of gram panchayat will be carried out before February 28. In case of panchayats which have no building of their own, this work will be undertaken on any other government buildings’ front wall located at the gram panchayat headquarter.

As per the slab under the Prime Minister Housing (Rural) Scheme 12 rural houses will be constructed in village having 1 to 200 houses. Similarly, 15 in village having 201 to 300 houses, 20 in village having 301 to 400 houses, 25 in village having 401 to 500 houses, 30 in village having 501 to 600 houses, 35 in village having 601 to 700 houses, 40 in village having 701 to 800, 45 in villages having 801 to 900, 50 in village having 901-1000, 55 in village having 1001 to 1100, 60 in village having 1101 to 1200, 65 in village having 1201 to 1300, 70 in village having 1301 to 1400, 75 in village having 1401 to 1500, 80 in village having 1501 to 1600, 85 in village having 1601 to 1700, 90 in village having 1701 to 1800, 95 in village having 1801 to 1900, 100 in village having 1901 to 2000 and 105 rural houses will be constructed in village having more than 2000 houses.
