Sukna Land Scam: Charges against Prakash Likely to Be Framed Tomorrow

In Sukna land scam, charges against former Military Secretary Lt General (retired) Avadesh Prakash are likely to be framed on Wednesday in Kolkata, said media reports.

Reports said that more than a dozen army officers would fly to Kolkata to testify as witnesses when the charges are read out.

As far as court martial proceedings are concerned, they will start after a summary of evidences is produced in the court, said reports.

In a notice issued on Friday, the Armed Forces Tribunal instructed the Army to produce the findings of the Court of Inquiry (COI) in the Sukna land scam and raised a number of questions over the role of Lt Gen Avadesh Prakash in the case.
