Majhgawan-Chitrakoot road to be of global level

Bhopal : Energy and Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that Satna to Chitrakoot road has religious importance. On this road, devotees from all over the country travel continuously. Keeping this in view, the road will be developed as per global norms. No toll-tax would be realised on it. In-charge Minister Shukla was performing Bhumi Poojan for the road costing Rs. 111 crore at Majhgawan in Satna district today. MP Ganesh Singh was also present on the occasion.

 

Minister said that issues pertaining to acquisition of forest and other lands will be settled by convening a meeting. He directed SDM Majhgawan to acquire land for Chitrakoot bypass at the earliest. MP Ganesh Singh informed that Central government has allocated Rs. 72 thousand crore for national highways. Tenders have been floated for about 43 km long Majhgawan-Chitrakoot road, which would be completed in 2 years.

 

Model Vidhan Sabha constituency

Shukla said that efforts would be made to develop Maihar as model Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state. He directed officers to implement all schemes of the state government through better coordination. Shukla was addressing a meeting of various departments’ officers at Maihar on Saturday. Shukla said that arrangements for drinking water for summer should be made by chalking out an action plan.

The meeting was informed that as per announcement of the Chief Minister, work of boundary of Sant Ravidas Ashram and Idgah has been started. MLA Narayan Tripathi suggested that tankers of 12 thousand litres each are available with 3 cement factories in Maihar tahasil. Drinking water problem of the tahasil will end if these factories’ tankers are deployed for water supply under corporate social responsibility (CSR). The Minister also dedicated newly constructed high school building costing Rs. 56 lakh at Tilghara in Birsinghpur tahasil of the district.
