Sidelined Vasundhara Raje may form new political party

Jaipur:  Annoyed by sidelined in Party, former chief minister of Rajasthan and senior leader of Bhartiya Janat Party Vasundhara Raje Sindhiya is on the verge of floating her own political party.

According to reports, Raje is upset with the BJP high command for not giving her a big say in the appointment of party state chief, and a free hand in the distribution of party tickets for the Assembly polls due in December 2013.

A  leading English daily reported that Raje, who is currently the Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, is mulling to break away from BJP’s central leadership along with a big chunk of her “loyalists” to float her own regional party.

Also she will possibly float her own regional party months ahead of the next Assembly Elections in case the BJP leadership does not concede to her demands and fails to recognise her stature in the state unit, say sources.

Furthermore, her loyalists have been accusing the party’s high command for ‘sidelining’ Raje, which has perhaps led to the revolt in BJP’s Rajasthan unit. They have regretted the sorry state of party’s affairs in Rajasthan.

However, nobody from the Raje camp has agreed to comment on the issue as yet.
