Security Forces Unearth Militant Hideout, Seize Huge Reserve of Arms

Unearthing a terrorist hideout, security forces have seized a huge reserve of arms and ammunition including 100 grenades and 303 rifles in a forest in Kupwara district, said media reports.

A defence spokesman said that forces uncovered the hideout during a search and cordon operation going on in Afroda forests in the district since the past one week, reports said.

The arms and ammunition recovered from the hideout include ten AK rifles, 160 MM mortars, one rocket projectile gun, 303 rifles, 100 grenades and 1000 rounds of ammunition, said reports.

Eleven militants have been killed in gunbattles with security forces in the area in the last one week.
