India started their campaign with a win

DHAKA : India thrashed Sri Lanka by 50 runs in a closely contested match of Asia Cup.

Virat was chosen man of the match for his excellent performance with the bat. Irfan Pathan also contributed well with the ball and finishes his spell with 4/32 in 8.1 over’s.

Sri Lanka lost Dilshad early who got out when he tried to pull a ball of Irfan and fin’s Virat at the midwicket boundary.

After that they chase well with Mahela (68) playing a gem of an innings and nicely supported at the other end by Sangkarra(75).

Earlier in the day Virat Kohli (108)and Gambhir (100)smashed centuries. While a late assault by Dhoni and Raina took India to a huge total of 304/3.
