School Indicted for Ruchika Expulsion

The Chandigarh administration on Thursday indicted a city school for arbitrarily expelling molestation victim Ruchika Girhotra some 19 years ago.

The school had claimed that the young tennis player had been expelled for late payment of school fee, a claim that it failed to substantiate as it had never initiated such action against any student till date.

Ruchika was expelled from Sacred Heart School barely a month after she had lodged a molestation complaint against former DGP SPS Rathore.

Ruchika’s family had alleged that the school was under pressure to expel her.
