Credit of country’s unification goes to Sardar Patel: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Shri Ananth Kumar participated in Run for Unity held to mark birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel here today. The run was held from IBST to BHEL Dussehra Maidan.

The Chief Minister said that credit goes to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel to shape present-day India. He merged princely states in Union of India. Had Kashmir issue been entrusted to him like other states, entire Kashmir would also have been an integral part of India. Shri Chouhan urged people to resolve on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary to make any sacrifice for country’s unity and integrity. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given message of country’s emotional integrity through Run for Unity. Statue of Sardar Patel, which is tallest in the world, is being installed in Gujarat.

The Chief Minister administered pledge of National Unity Day on the occasion. He felicitated players Shri Ashok Dhyanchand, Shri Amay Khurasia and Shri G.L. Yadav, who are pride of the country.

Urban Administration & Development Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, School Education Minister Shri Paras Jain, Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Commerce & Industries Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, SC and ST Welfare Minister Shri Gyan Singh, Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Minister of State for Tourism & Culture Shri Surendra Patwa, Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi, MP & President of State BJP Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan, MP Shri Alok Sanjar, Shri Arvind Menon, MLAs, public representatives and school children participated in Run for Unity.
