Ramdev to meet Navin Patnaik for Black Money campaign

Bhubanesbar. Continuing his efforts to woo the political class to drum up support for his movement against black money, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Wednesday met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
“I am here to meet Naveen Patnaik and discuss the issue of corruption. I hope he will extend support to our campaign on the issue of black money,” he told reporters after his arrival here.
Ramdev is on a mission to secure political support for his campaign. On Tuesday, he met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, who extended full support to his campaign. The SP chief, a key player in national politics post Uttar Pradesh win, said, “We are against black money and good that he (Ramdev) initiated the movement.”
Earlier, Baba Ramdev met BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh, Akali Dal supremo Parkash Singh Badal and Sharad Yadav.
Ramdev said he had been meeting different political leaders across the country to garner support.
“The country would gain ‘economic independence’ if black money to the tune of Rs four lakh crore stashed away abroad was retrieved and brought back,” Ramdev said.
A lot of developmental activities and welfare and poverty alleviation programmes could be launched if the huge black money was brought back to the country, he felt.
