Priyanka Chopra on adding Jonas to her name: It doesn’t take away my identity

From two wedding ceremonies to four receptions, Priyanka and Nick’s royal wedding was the talk of the town. Even Priyanka adding Jonas to her name didn’t go unnoticed. And Jimmy Fallon, on whose show Priyanka recently made an appearance to promote her upcoming film Isn’t It Romantic, too, asked the 36-year-old actress the same question.
To which the Desi Girl replied, “I always wanted to add his name to mine because I feel, like, you know, we’re becoming family, and I’m a little traditional and old school like that. But I don’t take away my identity. He gets added to who I am.”
Priyanka and Nick tied the knot on December 1 and 2 in an intimate ceremony. Away from the prying eyes of fans and media, Nick and Priyanka exchanged vows in the presence of family and close friends.
Earlier, Priyanka had revealed that her mom was very upset with the idea of an intimate wedding. She said that Madhu Chopra wanted to invite everyone she knows, but couldn’t. “My mother was so upset with me the whole time. She was like I need to have another party for the 150,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweller, how can I not invite my hairdresser? This was the conversation,” Priyanka had said.
