Countdown begins for CM in BJP: Kamal Nath meets Shivraj

After the results of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the stir in BJP regarding the selection of Chief Minister has intensified from Bhopal to Delhi. All the central officials and ministers of BJP have reached Delhi. BJP Parliamentary Party meeting may take place till late evening today. The name of the Chief Minister can be finalized in the meeting.

BJP may soon appoint observers for the Chief Minister selection. These observers will take the meeting of the Legislative Party of Madhya Pradesh and select the leader of the Legislative Party. After this meeting it will be decided who will be the Chief Minister of MP.

Half a dozen leaders including current CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan are contenders for the post of CM. Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel, who won the assembly elections from MP, are also in the race for CM. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kailash Vijayvargiya and BJP state president VD Sharma are also contenders for the post of Chief Minister.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath reached CM House and congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Son Nakulnath also stayed with him. On Monday, ministers Bhupendra Singh and Vishwas Sarang also reached CM House. There is commotion in the state office of BJP also. On the other hand, there is silence in the Congress office. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath is brainstorming in his bungalow.

Kamal Nath said, ‘I just met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and congratulated him. When I became the Chief Minister, he also came to congratulate me. I assured them that we will remain an opposition party, but we will do whatever we can in the interest of the state.

Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath reached CM House on Monday. He congratulated Chief Minister Shivraj.

Regarding stone pelting in Shajapur, newly elected BJP MLA Arun Bhimawat said, listen, Congress leaders, my workers, have raised hands on Kamal Amrit. I’m looking for those hands. I will punish them in such a way, the law will punish them in such a way that they will remember their grandparents.

Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra reached Datia on Monday after the defeat in the assembly elections. He said, ‘I am not the least bit afraid whether in victory or defeat, whatever I get on the path of action is right or wrong.’ The mandate should always be taken seriously. Don’t be under any illusion, don’t build a house on the shore after seeing the sea water receding, I will come back, this is a promise. I am not a person who remains silent for long, but he must be given a chance.

Chief Secretary met the Governor before the formation of the new government

BJP high command has started preparing for the formation of new government in Madhya Pradesh. Officials have become active regarding the swearing-in ceremony and other arrangements of the Chief Minister and cabinet members. On Monday, Chief Secretary Veera Rana reached Raj Bhavan and met Governor Mangubhai Patel. It is said that there was a discussion between them regarding the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet.

After the defeat, MP Congress Committee Chief Kamal Nath has called a meeting of all the candidates. This meeting will be held at the state headquarters of Congress on Tuesday at 11 am. In this, the reasons for defeat will be reviewed assembly wise. Congress has got only 66 seats in this election, whereas in 2018, 114 Congress MLAs were elected.

In Delhi, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, ‘As far as Madhya Pradesh is concerned, the Prime Minister had said that he has MP in his mind and MP has Modi in his mind.’ He also claimed victory in the Lok Sabha elections and said, ‘BJP government will be formed in 2024 with an overwhelming majority.’ Scindia is in Delhi for the winter session of parliament.

A day after the election results, preparations have started for the formation of the 16th Assembly in the state. There is a meeting in the Assembly today regarding this. The Assembly Secretariat is now busy welcoming the MLAs who reached Bhopal for registration and making other arrangements. In the Assembly Secretariat, Principal Secretary AP Singh is holding a meeting and assigning duties to the officers. Responsibilities regarding registration and accommodation arrangements of MLAs for the formation of the new assembly are also being decided in this meeting.
