President to give Social Impact Award to two collectors of MP

New Delhi: Shri Pranab Mukherjee gave away prestigious “Social Impact Award” to Indore Collector Shri Akash Tripathi and Gwalior Collector Shri P. Narhari at a function in New Delhi yesterday. The award has been given by Times of India Group for year 2012. Shri Akash Tripathi has received this award for effective implementation of “Janmitra Samadhan Kendra Yojna” launched in year 2009 in Gwalior when he was Gwalior Collector.

It is noteworthy that as Gwalior Collector, Shri Akash Tripathi had launched innovative “Janmitra Samadhan Kendra Yojna” from September 25, 2009. At present, the scheme is being effectively implemented by present Gwalior Collector Shri P. Narhari.

Under the scheme, 48 centres in rural areas and 18 centres have been established in Gwalior district. Through these centres, 80 services of 13 departments are being delivered to common people within prescribed time-limit. Regular attendance of field staff of various departments is also being monitored through these centres. So far, over 7 lakh persons have availed benefit under the scheme in Gwalior district. Average of disposal of applications received through the centres is over 95 percent.

“Janmitra Samadhan Kendra Yojna” has won several other prestigious awards also. These include SKOCH Award and CSI Nihilent Award in 2010 and National e-Governance Award in 2011. The scheme has also been honoured with Chief Minister’s Excellence Award. Times of India Group had selected this scheme for award in year 2012.
