Network of small industries to be spread in villages on lines of China

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a network of small industries will be launched in villages of the state on the lines of China. This will be possible through 24X7 power supply. He said that the State Government has fulfilled its promise to ensure round-the-clock power supply by spending Rs. 23 thousand 500 crore. The Chief Minister was launching Atal Jyoti Abhiyan in Gwalior district at Dabra today.
The Chief Minister announced Rs. 2 crore for bypass road, roads and other development works of Dabra town and Rs. 2.50 crore for much-awaited culvert over Sindh river near village Sunari.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that facility has been given to farmers to deposit electricity bills twice a year at flat rate of Rs. 1200 per horsepower. It has been done to save them from depositing bill for irrigation pumps and meter reading time and again. He said that the poor persons are being provided wheat and iodised salt at the rate of Re. 1 per kg and rice at Rs. 2 per kg. Shri Chouhan said that free meals will be provided to destitute senior citizens through mid-day meal scheme and children who will not maintain and feed their parents will be sent to jail.
He said that Dabra and Datia will also be included in the proposed industrial corridor between Morena and Guna. The Chief Minister informed that he has sanctioned Rs. 1 crore for construction of Sita Mata Mandir in Sri Lanka.
MP Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that the State Government has achieved historic success by ensuring 24X7 power supply. District’s in-charge and Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Shri Narottam Mishra, Medical Education Minister Shri Anoop Mishra and local MLA Smt. Imarti Devi also spoke on the occasion.
Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that Gwalior is 35th district to receive facility of 24X7 power supply. He informed that Rs. 39024 lakh has been spent on the Abhiyan in Gwalior district. He said that power generation capacity in the state has increased from 4600 MW to 10600 MW during last 9 years and will go up to 14000 MW by next year.
Minister of State for Home Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Madhya Pradesh Samanya Nirdhan Varg Kalyan Ayog Chairman Shri Balendu Shukla and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
