Mentally Disturbed Youth Opens Indiscriminate Fire in Lucknow

In a dramatic standoff in Lucknow, a mentally disturbed youth opened an undiscriminate fire from his house injuring a policeman in Bakshi Ka Talab area located on city outskirts, reported PTI.

“Station officer of Bakshi Ka Talab, Arun Dwivedi, sustained bullet injury this afternoon when Raju, who is mentally disturbed, fired indiscriminately with his father’s licensed weapon at Indaurabad village,” they were quoted as saying.

Report said that Raju, who had locked himself up in his room since morning, was firing from window.

“The youth is not allowing anyone to reach near him,” they were quoted as saying.

Police said that efforts were on to take him out safely, said reports.
