Mayawati Not to Back Cut Motions against Govt on Price Rise

UP chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati has announced that she will support the central government and not the cut motions planned to be moved by the opposition over price rise issue, said media reports.

She said that the government should make a reassessment of its economic policies but turned down any move to back the cut motion as, she said, it would further the cause of the communal forces in the country, reports said.

The Opposition’s move to cut motion thus remains a formality as they don’t have the required number to destablise the government.
