Maoists Fire at Jharkhand Armed Police; One Jawan Killed, Two Others Injured

A jawan was killed and two others injured as suspected Maoists started firing randomly at Jharkhand Armed Police at a village in Palamau district, said media reports.

The jawans were on their routine patrolling at Chak village when the incident took place, reports said.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Palamau Range) Prashant Kumar Singh said that additional forces have been rushed to the spot, said reports.
