Minimum 100 cows and one acre land must for new Goushalas’ registration in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Minimum 100 cows, land, building and sufficient arrangement for drinking water is mandatory for registration of new Goushalas in the state. Goushala Samiti must possess minimum one acre land in its ownership. This decision was taken in a meeting of Madhya Pradesh Pashudhan and Gou-Samvardhan Board held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya on Monday.
CM Chouhan issued directives to hold international workshop on importance of Indian cow so that information on research being carried out in various countries should be accessible to all. Moreover, Chouhan directed the officials for preparing an action plan to encourage farmers involved in organic farming towards maximum use of cow dung and pesticides made of cow urine.
Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Antar Singh Arya, Vice Chairman of the Board Swami Akhileshwaranand Maharaj, Board Members, Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Radheshyam Julaniya, Additional Chief Secretary Home KK Singh, Agriculture Production Commissioner PC Meena, Principal Secretary Agriculture Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Managing Director of Mandi Board Rakesh Shrivastava and Principal Secretaries of concerned departments were present in the meeting.
