Curfew relaxation in Srinagar after Muharram
Srinagar: Curfew lifted up from Srinagar today. All business in the city returned to normal after authorities lifted curfew that was imposed in several parts of the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain law and order on the day of Muharram.
Life is back to the normal, traffic is full on streets and all business establishments started their works.
Authorities of Srinagar imposed the curfew yesterday in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven police station areas in the city to maintain law and order in view of the Muharram processions.
Shia Muslims held mourning processions in various districts of Kashmir Valley except in Abi Guzar locality in central Srinagar where authorities had imposed curfew, said an official spokesperson.
