AIFF website hacked; Hackers threaten, ‘Will send you Kulbhushan Jadhav’s dead body’

New Delhi: On a day when the International Court of Justice, in an interim order, put a stay on the hanging of the former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, a group of hackers, who call themselves Zero Cool, hacked the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) website and posted a threatening message about India’s outrage over Jadhav’s death sentence.

The hackers threatened that India would be sent Jadhav’s dead body. The federation was quick to apologise for the inconvenience and tweeted saying it was a technical glitch.

‘Sorry for the inconveniences faced by you due to a technical glitch on http://www.the-aiff.com. Please stay tuned, we’ll come back shortly,” said the official Twitter handle of the Indian national team.

The site was restored few minutes back, and the IT department is trying to figure out other details.

International Court of Justice on Tuesday ordered a stay on the execution of Jadhav, the Indian sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage. The interim order came after India instituted proceedings against Pakistan at the ICJ.

Jadhav’s sentencing has kicked off a diplomatic row between India and Pakistan, with New Delhi slamming Islamabad for carrying out a ‘farcical’ trial and for refusing to allow consular access to Jadhav.
