Gita is an art and science to lead life: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Gita is an art and science to lead life. Life will become successful only by following principles of Gita in life. Shri Chouhan was addressing Gita Champions League 2013 award function here today.
Shri Chouhan said that only Gita is the right guide in this world of materialism. He said that his life has also transformed due to knowledge of Gita. He congratulated organisers for propagating Gita Ka Gyan in present-day materialistic world. He hailed winners for giving priority to study Gita. He gave away prizes to the winners.
Asha Foundation’s Chairman Shri Akash Vijayvargiya said that people are moving away from religion due to widespread corruption, crimes etc. in the country. He said that public awareness is being generated through institution’s programmes.
Social worker and co-organiser of the programme Dr. Anil Bhandari said in his welcome address that ISKON had conducted this completion to popularise Bhagwad Gita and focusing on its present-day relevance, main objectives, moral teaching, life management and lifestyle. He informed that about 64 thousand candidates participated in the competition from Madhya Pradesh and other states in junior and senior groups. He informed that Asha Foundation is the sponsor and Shri Piyush Agrawal of Agrawal Education Group co-sponsor of the competition.
In the senior group, the first prize comprising Rs. one lakh and free visit to London-based ISKON Temple was given away to Kumar Khushboo Shukla of Government Girls College, Ratlam, second prize of Rs. 51 thousand to Shri Keshav Kumar Sen of Model Higher Secondary School, Bhopal and third prize of Rs. 21 thousand was given to Kumari Roopali Shrivastava of Government School Lateri in Vidisha district.
In the junior group, the first prize comprising Rs. 51 thousand was given to Kumari Payal Parmar of Maruti School, Nagda, second prize of Rs. 21 thousand to Shri Ravi Kumar Ramanuj of Kot, Ujjain and third prize of Rs. 11 thousand was given to Kumar Srishti Yadav of Aditya Birla Public School, Nagda. Besides, first 100 students in senior and junior groups each and 150 schools from which 100 students participated in the competition were also awarded on the occasion.
