DGP conduct surprise inspection of police stations throughout the night in compliance with CM’s instructions in MP

In compliance with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s instructions to senior police officers for night patrolling, on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, all the police officers from DGP to SP level conducted surprise inspection of the police stations of Madhya Pradesh. In this period the senior official inspected more than 125 police stations in their jurisdiction in the entire state. DGP visited Obaidullaganj at 1 am, Bilkhiria at 2.30 am and TT Nagar police station at 4 am for inspection. DGP Shri Sudhir Kumar Saxena also took a meeting with the officials of Bhopal Police Commissionerate at TT Nagar police station.

DGP Sudhir Saxena inspected the police station premises and gave necessary instructions to dispose the large number of parked vehicles as per law. He inspected the lockup, women safety desk and CCTNS work in the police stations and gave necessary instructions for disposal of unnecessary items lying in the warehouse. The DGP reviewed the serving of summons and warrants by reviewing the warrant register and gave instructions to improve the service. He inspected the village crime notebooks of various villages of Obaidullaganj and Bilkhiriya police stations and sought information about the crime situation in rural areas and also gave necessary instructions regarding maintaining law and order.

DGP inspected Obaidullaganj police station at 1 am. He reviewed the serving of summon warrant at Obaidullaganj police station and gave instructions for proper maintenance of the warrant register. He expressed displeasure over the functioning of the police station in this regard. Here DGP Saxena reviewed the ICJS by operating the computer himself. He also inspected the warehouse. He reviewed the case diaries of the police stations and gave instructions for improvement after reviewing the cases being investigated by the SDOP.

Instructions were given to run a special campaign for disposal of seized vehicles in Bilkhiriya. During the inspection, he praised the renovation work of the police station building. Reviewing the work being done on CCTNS, he stressed on maximum use of new technologies to solve criminal cases. He also reviewed the operation of CCTV surveillance cameras and pending criminal cases. The DGP reviewed the beat system in Bilkhiriya police station area and sought information about instructions given by Police Headquarters earlier to make constable and head constable beat in-charge and gave instructions to further strengthen the beat system.

DGP Saxena reached TT Nagar police station, Bhopal at 4 am for surprise inspection. During this, DGP Saxena held a meeting with the officials of Bhopal Police Commissionerate and gave necessary directions to further strengthen law and order. On the shortage of police force, he gave instructions regarding effective use of the available force. Recently, in compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister regarding promotion, the DGP asked the Police Commissioner, Additional Police Commissioner, Deputy Police Commissioner to take immediate action so that the number of Investigation Officers/employees can be replenished. Also, the functioning of the Assistant Police Commissioners of the Commissionerate was reviewed.

All the IGs/DIGs/SPs of the state and Police Commissioners/Deputy Commissioners of Bhopal and Indore were instructed by DGP Sudhir Kumar Saxena to inspect the police stations of their respective areas even at night. The police stations and SPs of the districts were directed to inspect the police stations outside the district headquarters. During the inspection, crimes, maintenance of records of police stations and serving of summon warrants were reviewed. In compliance with the instructions, on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday, senior police officers conducted surprise inspection of more than 125 police stations in all the districts of the state and gave instructions to overcome the shortcomings found during the inspection immediately.
