Cops Dismissed for Allegedly Raping Dalit Woman
Two policemen, one of the two a head constable, have been dismissed for purportedly raping a Dalit woman at Amla police station in Betul district few months ago.
Police said that Nandkishore Mishra, head constable, and Suresh Choure, constable, were dismissed by the Hoshangabad range Deputy Inspector General of Police BB Sharma.
They said that the two cops had reportedly raped a Dalit woman in the police station after she was arrested in a dowry-related case.
On intervention of DGP SK Raut, the action was taken against the culprits. A number fo woman organizations had demanded immediate action against them.
