Shazia Ilmi accuses senior leaders of BJP Delhi unit of discrimination and favouritism

Ilmi's anger erupted when she was not allowed to go on the stage from where PM Modi addressed the gathering during his Sunday rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan

New Delhi: Before the Delhi Assembly elections, discord has come to the fore again within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Shazia Ilmi, who quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the BJP, has accused senior leaders of Delhi unit of discrimination and favouritism.
When Shazia Ilmi was questioned about the allegation, she said, “My displeasure was with the leaders of Delhi BJP, but senior party leaders have taken this into consideration. The BJP high command will see it, but now everything is fine. Now I am satisfied.”
This is not the first time when the internal dispute within the party is made public.
Delhi BJP vice-president Shazia Ilmi had been angry with the party official’s attitude for some time, but her anger erupted when she was not allowed to go on the stage from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering during his Sunday rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan.
Ilmi was reportedly seated in media enclosure while other Delhi unit leaders were given the pass for the main stage.
According to the sources, Ilmi did not say anything during PM Modi’s rally but expressed her displeasure in the official WhatsApp group of Delhi BJP.
Sources said Ilmi expressed her anger saying that she felt humiliated as her pass was not made while the other office-bearers of Delhi unit were allowed on the main stage.
