Water Tank Built on Temple Roof Collapses in Mathura; One Dead, Five Injured

One person has been killed and five others wounded as an overhead 40-ft water tank on a temple roof collapsed in Mathura, reported IANS.

According to report, the tank burst inside Khushali Baba temple compound in Jalalapur village of Chata tehsil in Mathura.

The roof the temple, said report, was under repair.

“The water tank burst inside the temple today (on Monday). One man died as he got buried in the debris. Five people were injured,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Babu Lal was quoted as saying.

“After the tank collapsed there was a stampede in the temple. No one was injured in the stampede,” he was quoted as saying.
