2nd phase of BJP’s ‘Vikas Yatra’ from Aug 30

In this fight of ideology, there is Bharatiya Janata Party on one side and all the regional parties fighting for their very existence in their respective areas of influence, on the other, are trying to strike an unholy alliance, said Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. He called upon the BJP party workers and office-bearers to gear up with full might to combat this challenge.

The Bharatiya Janata Party State Working Committee met on Saturday at Kushabhau Thakre Parisar. The meeting was chaired by BJP National Joint General Secretary (Organization) Saudan Singh in the august presence of BJP National General Secretary and State In charge Dr Anil Jain, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, National General Secretary Saroj Pandey, BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik, Union Minister of State Vishnudeo Sai, Kasdol Legislator Gaurishankar Agrawal, BJP State General Secretary (Organization) Pawan Sai, State General Secretaries, all MPs, all MLAs, Jila Panchayat President and Vice Presidents, Chairmen of all Boards and Corporations, senior party office bearers and senior party workers.

The Chief Minister while addressing the party office-bearers, said at a time when the schemes being launched by BJP government in Chhattisgarh and National Democratic Alliance government led by PM Narendra Modi throughout the country are getting huge public acceptance, a sort of apprehension is gradually surrounding the opposition. Out of this fear they are all set to strike an unholy alliance, which needs to be thwarted with our full might.

The Chief Minister said after the mega success of first phase of Vikas Yatra, the second phase will be launched from August 30. During the second phase, over Rs 600 crore will be distributed as bonus to tendu-patta collectors apart from distribution of mobile phones under SKY. Over 5400 programmes will be held during this period. He said smart phones will be distributed to 40 lakh women apart from 4.5 lakh urban poor and 5 lakh students. Giving details of the smart phones, the Chief Minister said it will give thrust to women and youth empowerment.

The Chief Minister said this time we have not only to ensure win in 65 out of 90 seats but we’ll have to ensure win in all 11 Lok Sabha constituencies, so that PM Modi get elects to second term. He said both PM Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah are working over 18 hours a day with an objective to empower the country. He called upon the party workers to work hard at the booth level and in Shakti Kendras in order to strengthen the party’s prospects. There is strong possibility that National President Amit Shah will be visiting Chhattisgarh in the first or second week of August and we have to show our confidence before him, he added.

Addressing the party office-bearers BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik said due to your hard work the first phase of Vikas Yatra was highly successful. After the Vikas Yatra, the regular party programmes right from state to booth level and in Shakti Kendras is going on satisfactorily. He said there is approximately two months time left the imposition of model code of conduct and during this period the second phase of Vikas Yatra and party programmes will run simultaneously. In order to achieve the target set by National President, we’ve to do very hard work at the grassroot level. He said the good works done by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and PM Narendra Modi through their schemes have proved that the party is working on the path of Antyodaya. If this is coupled with the hard work of party workers, 65 plus target is possible.

BJP National General Secretary and State In charge Dr Anil Jain and BJP National Joint General Secretary Saudan Singh also spoke on the occasion. Both stressed on taking the government schemes and its benefits to the people. They also stressed that since the fight is ideological, hence it is necessary to win the elections. They called upon the party workers to develop positive environment among the people at the booth level and at Shakti Kendras. They stressed if we are strong at the grass-root level,no one can stop us from achieving success.
