Government considering various suggestions of women safety, says shinde

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Friday said that the government was considering various suggestions on the safety of women.
Shinde, who had called a meeting with all state DGPs to discuss the ways to stop crime against women across the country, addressed a press conference in New Delhi on Friday. The Minister also assured that all suggestions would be translated into action at the earliest.
Shinde added that he had written to all parties to send their recommendations to Justice Verma commission, which has been appointed to probe December 16 rape incident in which a 23-year old girl was brutally assaulted in Delhi in a moving bus.
When asked about the government’s intention of calling special parliament session to discuss the report of Justice Verma commission, Shinde said that there was no need to call a special session.
