Horticulture hub to be developed in Maheshwar

Bhopal. A horticulture hub will be developed by the State Government on 56 hectare land at a cost of Rs. 25 crore at Mandleshwar-Maheshwar. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced, while addressing a public meeting at Mandleshwar today. He said that agriculture is being made profitable in the state. Taking another important step to fulfil this end, the State Government will make available loans to farmers at zero percent interest. Highlighting importance of drip irrigation, he assured to increase its quota for Nimar area.
The Chief Minister announced that like Maheshwar, power will be supplied for 24 hours to Mandleshwar also. Feeder separation work in entire Maheshwar area will be completed within a year.
The Chief Minister assured for construction of a filter plant at Mandleshwar soon and announced that construction works will be made for expansion of Mandleshwar ghats. Shri Chouhan sanctioned Rs. 2 crore for construction of roads in Mandleshwar.
Shri Chouhan appealed to people to turn State Government’s campaign for abolishing the practice of open air defecation into a mass movement. He urged people to construct toilets in their houses.
Referring to important welfare schemes launched by the State Government for all the sections of society, the Chief Minister said that implementation should be made effectively. He warned those committing irregularities. It is the fundamental duty of local people’s representatives to monitor schemes in their respective areas to eliminate any possible irregularity in them.
