Forest Minister distributes Rs. 1.72 crore tendu patta bonus in Chhindwara

Bhopal : Forest Minister Shri Sartaj Singh distributed tendu patta bonus to the tune of Rs. one crore 72 lakh at village Lawaghoghri in Mohkher development block of Chhindwara district today. Minister of State for School Education Shri Nanabhau Mohod and MLAs Shri Ramrao Kawreti and Shri Tarachand Bawariya were also present on the occasion.
Shri Sartaj Singh said that 46 lakh families are the members of 15 thousand 228 forest committees in the state. More bonus will be distributed the next year compared to this year. He said the lantana trees are being grown as a replacement for firewood. Arrangements of solar light are being made in tribal homes. Each house will be given a table-lamp and a mobile charger. This amount is being given the bonus for year 2011.
Bonus to be spent on daughter’s marriage
“I will spend the bonus amount on the marriage of my daughter”, said a tendu patta collector Shri Kishori Lal at the bonus distribution function. Village Jhont resident 60-year-old Kishori Lal son of Chunni Lal has got maximum bonus to the tune of Rs. 25 thousand 864. He said that he would arrange marriage of his daughter first and then get a well dug.
