The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced women’s ODI and T20I Team of the Year. Australia’s Meg Lanning was awarded the captaincy of both the teams. India’s quartet of Smriti Mandhana, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey and Poonam Yadav was named in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year following their sensational season on the ground. “It’s an amazing honour and I’m a little bit shocked, given how many amazing performances there have been across the year,” said Perry, who has won the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award for the second time in three years – the first as the maiden winner in 2017 while adding, “it’s amazing to be acknowledged and I do truly appreciate it. It’s a really nice way to finish the year on a personal note.”
