Finger Injury Sends Yuvraj Packing

Chances of an Indian victory at the ongoing Champions Trophy suffered a huge setback with an injury incapacitating star willow Yuvraj Singh for the rest of the tour, Yuvraj, who is reportedly heading home to India, will now be replaced with stylish south paw Virat Kohli.

Yuvraj hurt a right hand finger during a training session in Johannesburg. The injury left him out of the batting and bowling sessions conducted later in the day.

With Virender Sehwag already out of the competition due to a nagging shoulder injury, the men in blue can only ill-afford Yuvraj’s absence, especially as Sehwag’s opening partner Gautam Gambhir’s fitness is still under a cloud.

Pacer Zaheer Khan is also missing the tournament due to an injury.
