Madhya Pradesh is First in Country to Have Two Electronics Clusters

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country which has been given approval by the union Government for establishment of two electronics manufacturing clusters in Gwalior and Jabalpur. Infrastructure development works are being carried out speedily for these clusters.

Separate company ‘Bhopal Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Park Ltd.’ has been set up for proper management of this project. Five acres land has already been allotted for this cluster. This sector will generate around 50 thousand employment opportunities.

I.T. Park

I.T. parks are already functioning in Pardeshipura-Indore and at Gwalior. Three fourth structure development works have been completed in the first phase at Sinhasa I.T. Park-Indore, Badwai I.T. Park-Bhopal and at Purwa-Jabalpur. Moreover, land has been allotted to 14 units in Indore, 25 units in Bhopal and to 4 units in Jabalpur.

State Wide Area Network (SWAN)

State Wide Area Network (SWAN) has been installed as per the guidelines of the Union Government. Four Hundred Points of Presence (POP) centers are being established in the state with the cooperation of the Union Government. Till Date 380 POP centers have been established. Besides this POP centers have been established in 20 out of 40 new tahsils.

State Data Center

State Data Center is operational at Bhopal since 2013 to facilitate distribution of digital material available with all the departments and agencies regularly 24 hours through out 365 days.

Keeping in view the transparency and convenience in government tender procedure, e-tendering process is being followed to issue tenders by the offices of the state government since 2006. E-Portal is being used for all the government departments and organizations. All the tenders in the government departments are entertained online only.

At present, government services in total transparent and convenient manner are being provided by various government departments through 21 thousand 553 M.P. Online Kiosks. These public services are being provided online to the citizens to their nearest places.

I.T./E-Governance Training

E-Competent Centers have been established at all the 51 districts of the state for e-governance of officers/employees and enrichment of I.T. competency. Around 85 thousand officers/employees were imparted training related to I.T./E-governance till September this year.

Under the Virtual Class Room Project, students are being taught by the excellent subject experts in 413 centers through video conferencing facility. Over 40 lakh students were benefitted by 2 thousand lectures since the beginning of this project till September this year.

G.I.S.

Work related to develop single G.I.S. repository of all the government departments is going on. Ninety four percent work of integrated G.I.S. data of Khasra and Maps has been completed. Moreover, G.I.S. Data obtained from Forest, School Education, Urban Development and Housing departments have been compiled in the single repository. Also, after developing web services to facilitate sharing among the users, this data has been uploaded at the portal. A total of 154 public services are being provided through M.P. Online platform.
