Crime’s worst face murder for the sake of just Rs. 27, police unable to find the murderers

NEW DELHI: Friday night a toll collector was shot dead by unknown people at the toll-plaza in Gurgaon, but the police still unable to search for the clues.

Also the toll company didn’t bother about compensation to the 22-year old victim’s family.

Umesh Kant Pandey a 22 year old toll collector shot dead by two unknown assailants after a midnight brawl over the payment of Rs 27. After several hours the police remain clueless with the only lead being that the assailants sped in their white Bolero towards Manesar.

SS Deswal the Police Commissioner of Gurgaon said, “Every vehicle’s system should be recorded, but it’s not being done. Had it been recorded properly, we could have got the clue about the number of the vehicle.”

Manoj Agrawal, CEO, Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, said, “It’s a large facility. Guards are deployed at the plaza, but the exact location can be a little here and there when something happens.”

This incident has raised important questions about the safety of the toll collectors on the expressway that sees voluminous traffic daily.
