Covid Cases In India: Mansukh Mandaviya To Chair State Health Ministers’ Meet Today

The cases of corona epidemic are increasing once again. In view of this, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a review meeting with the health ministers of all states and Union Territories on Friday afternoon.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Covid Empowerment Working Group held a regular review meeting. In this meeting Dr. VK Paul, Dr. Rajeev Bahl, Director General, ICMR and other senior health officials attended.

Mandaviya said on the situation of Covid-19 in the country that we need to be vigilant, there is no need to panic. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron is spreading in the country. It does not require hospitalization.

606 new cases were reported in Delhi on Thursday, the positivity rate was 16.98 percent. More than 500 corona cases have been reported in the capital since two days.

On Thursday, 803 new patients of Corona appeared in Maharashtra, while 3 people died. The number of active cases of Corona in the state has increased to 3,987.

Madras High Court will start hybrid hearing from April 10 in view of increasing cases of Corona. Lawyers have been asked to join the hearing through video conferencing.

More than 5 thousand new cases of Corona have come in the country after 6 and a half months. On Wednesday, 5,335 new cases were reported, while 13 people died. Earlier on September 22, 5,383 cases were reported. On Wednesday, 2,826 people recovered from the disease. Currently there are 25,587 active cases in the country. This is the highest since October 9. Then 25,488 people were being treated.

A meeting of Government Empowered Group One was held on Wednesday amidst the increasing number of Corona cases in the country. In this meeting, there was a discussion about Covid management. Presided over by Dr. VK Paul said. The government had formed 6 empowered groups in May 2020 to deal with the corona virus. More than 50 senior officials of the government were included in this. The number of these groups was increased to 10 in May 2021.
