Court sent Swami Asimanand to judicial custody in case of Mecca Masjid blast

CBI arrested “Swami Asimanand” on Saturday for his alleged involvement in the Mecca Masjid blast in 2007 in Hyderabad, he was produced in front of a local court on Saturday which sent him in judicial remand till November 30.
Asimanand produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. He was flown in from Delhi and brought to Nampally Criminal Court in Hyderabad amid tight security.
He was arrested by the CBI in Haridwar in connection with the blast at the Mecca Masjid on May 18, 2007, which left nine persons dead. The CBI has filed a petition seeking his police custody.
