Akshay Kumar visits Mahakaleshwar temple on his birthday with Shikhar Dhawan

Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 56th birthday today, September 9. To celebrate the same, the superstar, along with his family, reached Jyotirling temple of Baba Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain to seek blessings. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was also present with him. The duo performed the bhasma aarti of Lord Mahakal early in the morning.

Akshay Kumar spent his birthday morning by performing aarti at Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain. He was accompanied by his sister, niece and son Aarav. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was spotted with the actor and was also accompanied by his family. The duo, along with their families, reached the temple directly from Indore airport. After bhasma aarti, they reached Shri Mahakal Lok.

Later, while speaking to the media, Akshay said that the country should continue to grow and Baba’s blessings should remain. Shikhar Dhawan said that he thanked God for calling them there and took blessings. When Shikhar was asked about the World Cup, Akshay playfully said that these are small things to wish for since they are destined to win. He further mentioned that one should wish for progress from Mahakal and wished that the country progresses more.

Amid the online debate about changing India’s name to Bharat after it was brought in by the government during Parliament’s upcoming special session, Akshay Kumar’s film name has been changed. The forthcoming film which was earlier titled ‘Mission Ranigan: The Great Indian Rescue’ has now been changed to ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue.’

On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a couple of exciting films lined up in the pipeline. The actor will be seen in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff. He was last seen in ‘Oh My God 2’. Having said that, he will share screen space with Radhika Madan in the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru.

Apart from the aforementioned movies, the actor has reunited with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal for ‘Hera Pheri 3’. He will also be making his debut in the Marathi film industry with ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’.
