Nirmala Sitharaman ‘Weak, Inactive And Faceless’ Person, Says Shiv Sena; Blames Centre For Aurangzeb’s Killing

New Delhi, June 18: Continuing its offensive against the ally BJP, the Shiv Sena on Monday blamed the Centre for the killing of Aurangzeb, the Army jawan whose bullet-riddled body was found in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama hours after he was abducted by militants on the eve of Eid.

In a scathing attack on the Nirmala Sitharaman, Sena called the defence minister a “weak, inactive and faceless person”.

In an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’, the Sena said, “We are doing more damage to the country by giving charge of defence ministry to a person like this”.

Chiefs of all three divisions of forces keep on saying that we are ready to face any situation, but the violence in Kashmir raises the question if we actually have a defence minister, it added.

The editorial further said that those who are trying to control the power with the business of politics would never understand the value of Aurangzeb’s martyrdom.

Not only Muslims, but all the Hindus of the country will also have to salute Aurangzeb’s sacrifice. An Aurangzeb like this should be born in every Muslim house of the country, the editorial said.

On Saturday also, the Shiv Sena had raised concern on the recent incidents of targeted violence in the Valley and accused the NDA of the bloodbath in the Valley.

In its editorial mouthpiece, Sena slammed the Centre for their decision to halt anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramzan, and accused Pakistan of taking unfair advantage of India’s decision.

“The government has to be blamed for the bloodbath initiated by the terrorists in the holy month of Ramzan in Kashmir. Our government respected the holy month and refrained from any attack during this time, but Pakistan never did it,” the editorial read.

Taking a jibe on the report of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assassination plot, the Shiv Sena said just on a basis of a report the security of the former was beefed up, but in the valley where people are losing their lives every day, no strict measures were taken.

Further terming the United Nations report on the Kashmir Valley as “rubbish”, the editorial asserted it has stained the image of Prime Minister Modi internationally.
“Even after visiting so many places, no country is willing to stand by us on the reports of the United Nations. What is the use of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to so many countries,” he said.

The Shiv Sena said the situation of the valley is worst than the time of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the Congress party.

Recently, the editor of Rising Kashmir newspaper, Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead by terrorists in Press Colony in Srinagar.

The same day, bullet-ridden body of Army jawan Aurangzeb, who was abducted by terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama was recovered from Gusoo area.

Shiv Sena’s string of attacks on the BJP, its ally in Maharashtra, comes amid the relations between the two parties being at an all-time low, with the former announcing to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections alone.
