Power supply to 6 transformers disconnected for outstanding electricity bills worth 1.28 crore in Morena city

The Madhya Pradesh Madhya Khsetra Vidyut Vitaran Company has disconnected six transformers due to non-payment of electricity bill amounting to Rs 1 crore 28 lakh by consumers in Morena’s urban area (small Lalor). 

Similarly, during the checking of marriage garden, marriage house, Dharamshala etc. in different areas of Morena district, an amount of 4 lakh 11 thousand was recovered in 136 cases on charges of electricity theft.

During the checking campaign, action was taken by registering a case under the Electricity Act on unauthorized use of electricity by Kashana Grand Garden located on Cholpur Road.

MP Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, Gwalior Region, Chief General Manager Rajeev Gupta said that intensive checking campaign is being conducted in Morena district and unauthorized and illegal users of electricity as well as consumers who do not pay outstanding electricity bills will be punished. Action is being taken. He has said that as per the instructions of the company, action will be taken as per rules by conducting an intensive checking campaign.

Till now FIR has been registered against 35 people.

An FIR was lodged at Thana Bagchini after the inspection team of Bagchini distribution center under Morena II Division of Central Region Power Distribution Company found Guddu Khan’s son Satar Khan using electricity unauthorizedly by using restricted wires of non-standard level.

It may be noted that strict action is being taken by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company against unauthorized and illegal use of electricity in all the 16 districts falling under Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior and Chambal divisions in theft prone areas. These days a special campaign is being run by the company for recovery of outstanding revenue and prevention of use of illegal electricity. Under this campaign, the company is taking action by registering cases against those who steal electricity from the direct line and use illegal and unauthorized electricity. Along with this, FIR has been registered against 35 people in the concerned police stations so far under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code against illegal use of electricity by using white non-standard wires banned by the district administration in Bhind, Morena and Datia. Has been.

The company has appealed to the electricity consumers to ensure timely payment of their outstanding electricity bills as well as current dues and not to make illegal and unauthorized use of electricity.
