Chargesheet Filed against Raj for Assault on North Indians

In connection with violence on North Indians appearing for a Railway Recruitment Examinations in Mumbai in 2008, police has field a 73-page chargesheet in a local court against MNS chief Raj Thackeray.

The violence on North Indians occurred when MNS was protesting against what it called Railway’s policy to issue advertisements in newspapers in North India to draw candidates from that region instead of giving priority to the ‘sons of the soil’.

Each accused, including Raj, was provided copy of the chargesheet through their lawyer Sayaji Nangre.

The MNS chief, standing near the witness box, said that ha (yes) when the Magistrate called out his name to ensure he was present in the court. Other accused said ji to register their presence.
