CBSE Class 12 results 2016 likely to be declared on May 23, Class 10 to follow later @cbse.nic.in

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce Class 12 exam on May 23. The CBSE exams started on March 1 and concluded on April 22. This year, a total of 10,67,900 candidates appeared for the Class 12 exam as against 10,40,368 in 2015.
If the news from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anything to go by, the CBSE will declare the Class 10 and Class 12 results in the last week of May. Interestingly, last year, the Class 10 results were released on May 28 while Class 12 results were declared on May 25, almost the same time-period as indicated for this year.

To check the results, the candidates should visit the official website cbse.nic.in. Subsequently, they can check other suitable links and enter their roll numbers and other details. After following the due process, candidates can check the results which will be displayed on the screen. It is very strongly advised that the candidates download their results and take print-outs for future references.

In 2015, a total of 13,73,853 candidates appeared for Class 10 exam, out of which 55,59,12 were girls and 81,79,41 were boys. This year, 14,99,122 candidates applied, out of which 60,64,37 are girls and 89,26,85 are boys.

For Class 12 exam, last year, a total of 10,40,368 candidates have applied, out of which 43,29,85 were girls and 607,38,3 were boys. This year, a total of 14,99,122 candidates applied, out of which 44,66,41 are girls and 6,21,259 are boys.

Delhi, Foreign Schools, and Panchkula registered the highest number of candidates. Delhi had 2.9 lakh students for Class 10 and 2.7 lakh for Class 12 board examinations. Panchkula saw 2.2 lakh students registering for Class 10 and 1.7 lakh for Class 12.
