Sen(a)sational Attacks Target Mumbai Multiplexes

Back in Business: Shiv Sena activists vandalised theatres in Mumbai, where advance booking for actor Shah Rukh Khan’s film My Name Is Khan opened on Tuesday, say media reports.

SRK is at the receiving end of the infamous Sena anger since he said he was not against the inclusion of Pakistani cricketers in the third season of the Indian Premier League.

The Sena taking exception to the prospect of Pakistani involvement in the cricket extravaganza has sought an apology from the superstar and termed him a traitor.

The Sena protests against the SRK starrer My Name is Khan come four days ahead of its release scheduled for Friday.

Sena workers targeted multiplexes, at Mulund, Bhandup, Ghatkopar and Kanjur Marg, smashing box office windows and disrupting the screenings of other movies.

The Mumbai police arrested 54 Sena workers for rioting and also made over 100 preventive arrests.
