BSP MLA’s Son Fires in Delhi Bar, Arrested

The son of BSP legislator allegedly bashed up the staff and opened fire inside a south Delhi bar on Wednesday after his sister’s wallet went missing though he reportedly left it behind the night before, said reports.

According to police, Manisha Singh, (26), daughter of BSP MLA from Meerut, Chan-draveer Singh, went to Mocha Bar in Nehru Place on Tuesday and left behind her wallet. On Wednesday, she went back to bar with her sister-in-law to collect the wallet. When staff told them that they didn’t find any wallet, she left and came back with her brother Vivek Singh.

“Singh slapped the manager and fought with other staff members. Then he took out a gun and put it on the manager’s head, then fired in the air in a fit of rage,” said ACP Virendra Singh Chail.

Aged 29, Vivek, who is a property dealer, ran away from the scene but Manish was caught. Later, he was booked for attempt to murder.

Vivek’s father Chandraveer Singh said, “I am paying the price for being an MLA. Such incidents frequently take place. It is ridiculous that my daughter and daughter-in-law have been projected as wanted.”
