BSP Denies Having Talks with NDA or UPA
Refuting rumours of party chief Mayawati’s secretly meeting BJP prime ministerial candidate LK Advani, the BSP has denied any talks for a post poll truck either with the UPA or the NDA.
BSP issued a statement in the regard which said: The BSP is neither in contact with the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) nor with NDA (National Democratic Alliance).”
The press note, printed on BSP letterhead without any signature and reportedly to be issued by party “spokesman”, termed such political moves as “mischievous and false”.
Besides, the note sought to blame such reports on the opposition. “Apparently the opposition had planted such stories only to create confusion about BSP in the minds of the people, and the media too was playing into the hands of such mischievous elements,” the statement said.
